Orange Hazelnut Meltaway Chocolate - Limited Release
The Orange Hazelnut Meltaway is Fossa Chocolate's most classically European limited release — a bar that draws on the finest Italian confectionery tradition and elevates it with exceptional single-origin chocolate.
At its heart is a gianduia — the classic Italian preparation of finely ground roasted hazelnut and chocolate that originated in Turin and has been a benchmark of luxury confectionery for centuries. Fossa makes theirs as a milk gianduia using Italian hazelnuts, then blends in candied Kawachi Bankan citrus peel — a Japanese citrus varietal with a sweeter, less sharp profile than standard orange peel — and crisp feuilletine for a satisfying crunch. This filling is then encased in a shell of Ecuadorian Costa Esmeraldas 75% dark chocolate, whose chestnut and floral character provides a bittersweet counterpoint to the rich hazelnut centre.
At 70g, this is one of Fossa's premium limited releases. Made in small quantities.
