Pineapple Tart is Fossa Chocolate's love letter to one of Singapore's most iconic festive snacks — and a collaboration bar with Food Folks that has become a favourite in the range.
The pineapple tart is a staple of Chinese New Year in Singapore and Malaysia: a buttery pastry shell filled with sweet, jammy pineapple paste, eaten by the tray-load during the festive season. Fossa captures every element of that experience in a bar. A base of creamy caramelised blond chocolate — white chocolate slowly cooked to develop a biscuity, toffee-like depth — is studded with real pineapple chunks and pieces of buttery biscuit crust.
The result is indulgent, texturally satisfying, and unmistakably evocative of the original. An excellent introduction to Fossa's Asian-inspired range for anyone new to the brand, and a nostalgic favourite for those familiar with the original snack.
