Soy Milk & Youtiao is Fossa Chocolate's most nostalgic bar — a recreation of the classic Singaporean breakfast combination that has been a morning ritual for generations.
Youtiao (油条) are golden, deep-fried strips of dough — crispy on the outside, chewy within — traditionally dipped into a warm bowl of fresh soy milk. It is a breakfast that requires no explanation to anyone who grew up in Singapore, Malaysia, or China. Fossa collaborates with Xi De Li, a youtiao institution in Singapore since the 1920s, to bring dehydrated youtiao into a 38% soy white chocolate base — a chocolate made with soy powder rather than milk powder, giving it a uniquely creamy, aromatic soy character.
The result is immediately evocative and completely unlike any other chocolate available in Australia. A bar that tells a story in every bite.
